| First Figure - Side Swings (Reels) | 136 bars |
| 1 | Top couples:
Dance in and swing: 1st gent and 2nd lady dance into the set and swing with ceili hold, fall back to place and take partners in crossed hand hold. |

| 2 | Lead across: with crossed hand hold, top couples lead anti-clockwise within the set to leave top ladies in 1st top couple's place, 2nd lady in 1st lady's position and 1st lady in 1st gent's position. 2nd gent dances back into his own position and 1st gent falls back into 2nd lady's position (8 bars). Side couples lead within the set, the gents dropping their ladies in line with the top lady nearest their own place, 1st side lady beside 1st top lady and 2nd side lady beside 2nd top lady.
